The
LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me
lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet
waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of
righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear
no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the
presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my
cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house
of the LORD forever.
Psalms 23:1-6

I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is greater than all
gods. The LORD does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the
earth, in the seas and all their depths. He makes clouds rise from
the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with the rain and brings
out the wind from his storehouses.
Psalms 135:5-7 |
For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be
saved." How, then, can they call on the one they have
not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of
whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without
someone preaching to them? And how can they preach
unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful
are the feet of those who bring good news!"
Romans 10:13-15 |

We can gather our thoughts,
but the LORD gives the right answer.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world,
a light
that no darkness can overpower.
We shall live in the light of the Lord.
"It appears we have appointed our worst generals to command forces, and our most
gifted and brilliant to edit newspapers! In fact, I discovered by reading
newspapers that these editor/geniuses plainly saw all my strategic defects from
the start, yet failed to inform me until it was too late.
Accordingly, I'm readily willing to yield my command to these obviously superior
intellects, and I'll, in turn, do my best for the Cause by writing editorials-
after the fact."
Robert E. Lee in 1863
